Hi, I’m Trond. I build trading robots, I’ve blown more accounts than I’d like to admit, and I write down what actually happens — the wins, the losses, and the “well, that was a dumb idea” moments. If you’re looking for a guru in front of a rented Lamborghini, you’ve come to the wrong place. If you want the honest version from a normal bloke figuring it out, pull up a chair.

Who I actually am

I’m based in Oslo, Norway. I’m not a hedge fund manager, I don’t have a finance degree, and I’ve never worked on a trading floor. I’m a regular guy who got interested in trading, got obsessed with building robots (EAs) to do the trading for me, and then spent a lot of time and money learning — the hard way — that this stuff is genuinely difficult.

I started Forex and Profits back in May 2018. It’s changed a lot since then — these days it’s less about tips and more about radical honesty: showing the real numbers, including the ugly ones. But the goal’s always been the same — keep it simple and straight, so a total beginner can follow along without drowning in jargon, while there’s still enough meat for experienced traders.

Here’s the honest bit most people leave out: I don’t have a magic robot that prints money. I’ve built dozens of them. Most failed. A few worked for a while, then quietly stopped working. I’m still at it, still testing, still learning — and I write about all of it, openly, because that’s the stuff nobody else shows you.

I’m not entirely alone in this, either. My friend Jackie chips in from time to time with chart analysis — when I’m scratching my head over which way a pair might go, she’s the one checking the Fibonacci levels and giving me a second opinion. She’s not running the site or selling you anything; she’s just a good pair of eyes on a chart when I need one.

Why this site exists

Because the forex world is drowning in lies. Everywhere you look, someone’s selling a “guaranteed” robot, a signal group, a course that’ll make you rich by Friday. Almost all of it is rubbish, and a lot of it is designed to separate beginners from their money.

I got sick of it. So I decided to do the opposite: show real numbers, including the ugly ones. Publish the losses right next to the wins. Explain what actually works and what quietly blows up your account — in plain English, not textbook-speak. No dream-selling. No fake screenshots. Just one guy, being honest about how hard this actually is.

The one promise I’ll make

I’ll never pretend to be something I’m not. I’m not rich from trading. I haven’t “cracked it.” I’m a real person, in real time, trying to build something that works — and being honest with you every step of the way, even when the honest answer is “this failed and I don’t fully know why yet.”

If that sounds refreshing after all the hype out there, you’re my kind of reader. Stick around. Start on demo. Keep it small. And don’t trust anyone waving a Lamborghini at you — including me. (I drive something considerably less exciting.)

Full stop. Scammers love to steal the name and face of anyone who looks honest, so I’m telling you straight: we will never message you first, and we’ll never ask you for money. Anyone doing that while using our names is a fake. Block them.

That said — if you’d like to reach out and have a bit of a forex chat, you’re genuinely welcome. No pitch, no catch, just a normal conversation between people who find this stuff interesting.
